KIDS CHARITY

To all of those who would like to make a difference in a child’s life,

My name is Jazma Green former standout basketball player for Darlington High School and also a veteran of two college Basketball programs. While playing basketball at DHS, College of Charleston and Coker College I relied heavily on what I learned playing basketball at the Darlington Recreational Center. I benefited greatly by not only by honing my skills to become a Division One Basketball Starter but because of the doors it opened for me to become successful in life after basketball. I live my dream everyday now as both a successful woman and as a coach to others who also would like to grasp this dream. 

I am calling this event “Ball for a Cause” because it is where my dream started, and  It is my desire to give back to the community that gave me so much. We are sponsoring an event on April 15, 2017 at A.W. Stanley Gym (old B.A. Gary Gym) from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. I am asking for sponsorships which will be identified on the backs of the shirts for the event that day. Any donations to the cause would be helpful. We will also be serving many types of refreshments that day including fish, hot dogs, hamburgers and fries. This is the first year for this event but it is my hope that this will become an annual program to support Darlington Recreation. A title sponsor for this event is TV-15 who will be there supporting this event. We are extremely excited about the events that we have lined up which include; a 5 on 5 tournament, a three point contest and a not to be missed DUNK Contest. Any help that you could provide to make this Dream a Reality would be greatly appreciated. Investing in our children is investing in our future.
